1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how SC Loombyte SRL (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the Drinkmeter mobile application (the “App”) available for iOS and Android devices.
Our registered company details are:
- Company Name: SC Loombyte SRL
- Address: Bulevardul DACIA, Nr. 133, Etaj D, Sectorul 2, Bucureşti, Romania
- Contact Email: privacy@loombyte.dev
We prioritize user privacy. Drinkmeter is designed to function without requiring personal identity information, user accounts, or invasive tracking.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
To provide complete transparency, Drinkmeter is built with a zero-registration architecture:
- No Accounts or Profile Creation: We do not require you to register, sign in, or link any social media profile to use the App.
- No Direct Personal Identifiers: We do not request, access, or store your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or billing credentials.
- No Advertising Identifiers: We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not collect Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or Google’s Advertising ID (GAID) for advertising or profiling.
3. Information We Collect and How We Use It
A. In-App Data and Logs (Local Storage)
Any data you enter into Drinkmeter—such as drink logs, volumes, timestamps, target goals, or personal preferences—is stored locally on your device. We do not transmit, sync, or host your personal drink logs on external proprietary servers.
B. Technical and Analytical Data
We collect non-personally identifiable technical information and aggregated event data strictly to monitor app health, troubleshoot bugs, and improve functionality. This includes:
- Device and Environment Data: Device model, operating system version (iOS/Android), language preference, and app version.
- Crash and Diagnostics Data: Stack traces, crash reports, and system performance metrics generated when an error occurs.
- Aggregated Usage Metrics: High-level interactions with the App (such as button clicks, screen visits, and feature adoption) analyzed in aggregate without linking actions to an identifiable individual.
Purpose of Processing: We use this data exclusively to:
- Ensure core stability, diagnose crashes, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Evaluate feature usability and guide ongoing product updates.
4. Third-Party Sharing and Disclosures
We do not sell, rent, lease, or monetize your data under any circumstances.
- No Advertising Networks: We do not partner with third-party ad exchanges or ad networks. Your data is never used for targeted ads or profiling.
- Service Providers (Data Processors): Technical diagnostic and telemetry data may be processed through trusted infrastructure and analytics providers (e.g., crash reporting or privacy-focused analytics SDKs). These providers process data on our behalf under strict data protection agreements and are prohibited from using this information for their own purposes.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose minimal records only if required by applicable European Union or Romanian laws, court orders, or enforceable governmental requests.
5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For users located within the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for collecting minimal diagnostic and analytics data is Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR):
- Our legitimate interest consists of maintaining system security, fixing technical defects, and ensuring that Drinkmeter functions properly across different mobile devices.
6. Data Retention and Security
- Local Data: Data stored on your device remains there until you delete individual records within the App or uninstall the App entirely.
- Analytics Data: Telemetry and crash logs are retained only as long as necessary for technical debugging and statistical analysis, typically for a rolling period not exceeding 12 to 24 months, after which they are purged or fully aggregated.
- Security: We implement standard technical safeguards to protect any diagnostic transmissions against unauthorized access or alteration.
7. Your Rights Under the GDPR
Because Drinkmeter does not collect names, email addresses, or account credentials, we generally do not hold identifiable data that connects telemetry records back to a specific person.
However, under the GDPR, data subjects in the European Union retain the rights to:
- Request access to any personal data held about them.
- Request rectification or erasure of their personal data.
- Restrict or object to the processing of their data.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Romania, this is the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) (Autoritatea Naţională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal), located at B-dul G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru 28-30, Sector 1, București, www.dataprotection.ro.
If you wish to exercise your rights or have privacy inquiries, contact us at privacy@loombyte.dev. Note that because we do not store personal profiles, we may require additional technical context (such as an anonymous diagnostic session ID) to verify or locate any relevant records.
8. Children’s Privacy
Drinkmeter does not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from individuals under the age of 16 (or under 13 in jurisdictions subject to COPPA). If we discover that personal information has been inadvertently collected from a child, we will take immediate steps to delete it.
9. External Links
The App may contain links to our website or platform app store listings. This Privacy Policy applies strictly to the Drinkmeter mobile application. When navigating to third-party domains, please review their respective privacy statements.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect future functional changes or regulatory requirements. Any updates will be published with a revised “Effective Date” and made accessible directly within the Drinkmeter App and on our website. Continued use of the App following any update indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
